Ocon was engaged by Hutchinson builders to remediate several parts of this concrete structure. Our first challenge was to develop a self-levelling solution for deflection issues caused due to the post-tensioned slab design. An extensive investigation was performed on the existing RL’s and an efficient, cost effective solution was implemented by Ocon. All floors were self-levelled in record time, allowing for the finishing trades to keep working without delay. The planning of resources was instrumental in the success of these works with Ocon adopting afternoon shifts to get ahead of the other trades.
Later, Ocon also remediated all balconies and recreated with topping applications to ensure water run off requirements were met. Again, Ocon’s exceptional product knowledge meant the best, most durable product was sourced and applied in strict accordance to manufacturer’s specification to best suit the needs of the project.
Thanks to Ocon’s in-house training on application methods and product knowledge, no rework was required on any application made on site.
In addition to this, we adopted green products to reduce our environmental impact. This was a big win for the Project, the Client, and Ocon Group.
